Current courses for adults
Beginners A0 Level
Starting On Wednesday 25th August 2026; 18:00 - 20:00; including complementary Introduction Sakina.
This course is for complete beginners, no prior knowledge in Arabic is required.
Beginners A1 Level
Thursdays; 18:00 - 20:00; including complementary Sakina training
Venue: University of Edinburgh
Basic foundation knowledge of the language is a prerequisite to join this group.
This is an ongoing course and admission remains open throughout the year.
Beginners A1+ Level
Mondays; 18:00 - 20:00; including complementary Sakina training
Venue: University of Edinburgh
Basic foundation knowledge of the language is a prerequisite to join this group (alphabet, phonics, numbers, vowels), read multisyllabic words, as well as you will be familiar with the sentence structure in Arabic, pronouns (personal, possessive, demonstrative), gender, definite article, plural and dual forms, prepositions, adjectives.
This is an ongoing course and admission remains open throughout the year.
Online Conversation class
This is a conversational Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) for A2+ level learners; Friday evenings at 18:00 - 19:20 (GMT)
